“As a heart recipient, it was a long recovery and a dramatic turn of events that led me to where I am today. The doctors told me that I only had a few months to live. Around that time my older daughter graduated high school and I was so glad to be there to support her. I realized that I might not make it to my younger daughter's high school gradation, so I told her older sister the things I wanted my youngest to hear. Because my donor family made the decision to donate, I was able to attend my younger daughter's graduation and it was one of the most memorable moments of my life.” Calvin's daughters both graduated from Mililani High School.
