Non-profit organization that coordinates the recovery of organs & tissues
for the state of Hawaii by assessing medical suitability of potential
donors, presenting donation options to families, and educating the
public about donation. |

National Kidney
Foundation of Hawaii 593-1515
Hawaii's leading voluntary health agency dedicated to the detection,
prevention and treatment of kidney and urinary tract diseases. Its mission
is to prevent kidney and urinary tract disease, improve the health and
well-being of individuals and families affected by this disease, and
increase the availability of all organs for transplantation in Hawaii. Hawaii Donor

Dedicated to serving families of those who gave the gift of life
and providing a strong, unified voice in meeting their needs and
a safe haven as they learn to live without the ones they love.
Surgical Associates, Inc. 523-0166
A
medical group practice comprised of six transplant trained surgeons
and one vascular surgeon who also each specialize in General Surgery. They
are the primary surgeons for kidney, bone marrow, liver and pancreas
transplants in Hawaii and are affiliated with all major medical centers,
with offices located at St. Francis, Queens, and Castle Medical Centers. Surgeons
include: Livingston Wong, MD, Fong-Liang Fan, MD, Whitney
Limm, MD, Alan Cheung, MD, Linda L. Wong, MD, Hiroji Noguchi, MD
and Theodore Teruya, MD.

Established
at St. Francis Medical Center in 1989 and joined the National Marrow
Donor program to help patients in Hawaii and all over the world
find healthy and willing bone marrow donors.
Hawaii Lions
Eye Bank Makana Foundation 536-7416
Procures, evaluates and distributes human eye tissue for sight-restoring
corneal transplant surgery.
Hawaii Living
Donor Council 593-1515
Provides
education and support for living organ and tissue donors, potential
donors, family and friends.
Minority Organ

A
statewide project of Minority Organ Tissue Transplant Education Program/Organ Donor
Center of Hawaii and the Cancer Research Center of Hawaii/University
of Hawaii in collaboration with various community groups on minority
organ and tissue donation
